 Black Adam, also known as Teth-Adam, is a formidable character in the DC Comics universe. Created by Otto Binder and C. C. Beck, Black Adam first appeared in "Marvel Family" #1 in 1945. Black Adam's origin is linked to ancient Egypt, where he was originally chosen to be a champion of the wizard Shazam. Teth-Adam's powers are bestowed upon him by six Egyptian gods—Shu, Heru, Amon, Zehuti, Anpu, and Menthu—when he utters the magical word "Shazam." Similar to Shazam (formerly known as Captain Marvel), Black Adam gains superhuman abilities when he utters the word "Shazam." Each letter in the word represents a different god, granting him the powers of the Egyptian pantheon.

   - S - Shu:** Stamina

   - H - Heru:** Swiftness

   -A - Amon:** Strength

   - Z - Zehuti:** Wisdom

   -A - Anpu:** Power

   -M - Menthu:** Courage


 Black Adam is deeply protective of his home country, Kahndaq. He often takes extreme measures to ensure its safety and stability.

Black Adam and Shazam (Captain Marvel) often find themselves in conflict due to differences in their principles and approaches to justice.


 Black Adam's origin:

In ancient Egypt, the wizard Shazam chooses Teth-Adam to be a champion to protect the world from evil forces.

   - Teth-Adam is granted powers by six Egyptian gods: Shu, Heru, Amon, Zehuti, Anpu, and Menthu. When he utters the magical word "Shazam," he transforms into a superhuman with the combined abilities of the gods.

Over time, Teth-Adam becomes corrupt by the immense power he wields. His sense of justice becomes ruthless, and he uses his powers to dominate and control.

 The Council of Wizards, including Shazam, decides to intervene. Shazam alters the magic word, preventing Teth-Adam from accessing his powers.

Centuries later, during the modern era, a descendant of the ancient Egyptian named Theo Adam discovers Teth-Adam's tomb and the secret of the magic word.

 Theo Adam speaks the word "Shazam" and is transformed into Black Adam, regaining Teth-Adam's powers.

4. Enhanced Speed: The swiftness granted by the god Heru makes Black Adam exceptionally fast, both in movement and combat.


5. Wisdom and Knowledge: The wisdom of Zehuti provides Black Adam with extensive knowledge, making him a formidable strategist and tactician.


6. Power of Courage: The power of Menthu grants Black Adam courage beyond that of a normal individual, allowing him to face even the most formidable opponents.


7. Flight: Black Adam can fly at great speeds through magical means.


8. Magic Manipulation: Black Adam has a deep understanding and control over magical energies, allowing him to manipulate mystical forces.


Weaknesses:

1. Vulnerability to Magic: Like other characters with magical origins, Black Adam is vulnerable to magical attacks and countermeasures.

2. Black Adam's powers are activated by speaking the word "Shazam." If someone prevents him from speaking the word or incapacitates him, he loses access to his enhanced abilities.
