##Origin

*. Phoenix Saga (1976-1977):** Jean Grey sacrifices herself to save the X-Men by piloting a crashing spacecraft into Jamaica Bay. The Phoenix Force, drawn to Jean's incredible telepathic potential, replaces her body, giving her a new lease on life.
