Morbius, also known as Dr. Michael Morbius, is a fictional character in Marvel Comics. Dr. Michael Morbius was a biochemist with a rare blood disorder. In an attempt to cure himself, he conducted an experiment combining electroshock therapy and vampire bat DNA. The experiment had unintended consequences, transforming him into a living vampire with superhuman abilities and a thirst for blood. Created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gil Kane, Morbius first appeared in "The Amazing Spider-Man" #101 in 1971.

Powers and Abilities:

1. Vampiric Attributes: Morbius possesses typical vampire traits such as enhanced strength, speed, agility, and a prolonged lifespan.

2. Flight: He can glide on air currents and possesses a limited ability to fly.

3. Healing Factor: Morbius has an advanced healing factor, allowing him to recover from injuries at an accelerated rate.

4. Sonar Sense: He can emit a low-level sonar sense to navigate and locate his prey.


Weaknesses

1. Blood Dependency: Morbius requires the frequent consumption of blood to sustain his vampiric abilities.

2. Sunlight Sensitivity: Similar to vampire myth, exposure to sunlight weakens Morbius. But unlike normal vampires it doesn't kill morbius.

3. Inner Struggle: Morbius often grapples with the morality of his actions and the struggle to control his predatory instincts.

4:Magical Vulnerabilities: In some storylines, Morbius is susceptible to certain magical elements that affect vampires.

MORBIUS was adapted into the MCU and played by actor Jared Leto in the the movie morbius.
