 Red Hood is the alias used by multiple characters in the DC Comics universe, with the most prominent being Jason Todd.  Jason Todd was initially introduced as the second Robin, succeeding Dick Grayson. His origin involves being taken in by Batman (Bruce Wayne) after a troubled upbringing and training to become the Dark Knight's sidekick.

Jason Todd's fate took a dark turn when he was brutally killed by the Joker. However, he was later resurrected through the Lazarus Pit. Following his resurrection, Jason Todd adopts the persona of the Red Hood. The name "Red Hood" has historical significance in Batman's lore, referring to the custume the Joker once wore before his transformation.
