DC Shazam superhero description

Shazam, formerly known as Captain Marvel, is a DC Comics superhero with a unique origin and set of powers. Created by writer Bill Parker and artist C.C. Beck, Shazam first appeared in "Whiz Comics" #2 in 1940. Shazam's also known as Billy Batson, is a young boy chosen by the ancient wizard Shazam to be his champion. When Billy utters the magic word "Shazam," he transforms into the superhero.

Shazam's powers are magical in nature, and his abilities are granted by various ancient mythological figures.

Shazam is a member of the Justice League, fighting alongside other iconic DC superheroes.
