 Thor, the God of Thunder, is a Marvel Comics superhero based on Norse mythology. Thor is not entirely immortal, but he ages at an extremely slow rate and is immune to conventional diseases.Thor's enchanted hammer, Mjolnir, is a powerful weapon that can only be lifted by those deemed "worthy." It grants Thor the ability to channel and focus his powers.

Thor is a highly skilled warrior, proficient in various forms of combat and armed with his trusty hammer.

 Thor has been a key member of superhero teams, including the Avengers, and has demonstrated leadership qualities.

 Thor hails from Asgard, one of the Nine Realms in Norse mythology. He is often portrayed as the son of Odin and is a prince in the Asgardian royal family.

Thor, the God of Thunder, was created by writer Stan Lee, scripter Larry Lieber, and artist Jack Kirby. Thor made his first appearance in "Journey into Mystery" #83, which was published by Marvel Comics in August 1962.

Thor is based on the Norse god of the same name from Norse mythology. Stan Lee, seeking to diversify Marvel's superhero lineup, drew inspiration from mythology to create a character with god-like powers.

In the early stories, Thor's alter ego was Dr. Donald Blake, a disabled medical student who discovered he could transform into Thor by striking his enchanted cane (Mjolnir) against a solid object.
